Planning A Trip!
I love getting ready to go on a trip, and this one is an especially exciting trip for me for many reasons. I get to go home, to CA, where I haven’t been in about 2 years! I will get to see family and friends that I haven’t seen in a very long time. They will get to see Cooper, whom they haven’t seen since he was a baby, and see how much the other boys have grown. We will get to be with Brody on Easter, and for about 5 days. I will get to go places that I’ve missed, and just over all, hopefully be revived!
While I am so excited, I’m also getting nervous- about the flight. Because I was sick for a week, and am just starting to feel better, I haven’t done much planning or preperation for my trip. Also, I am flying with all three of my boys, so I am a little nervous about doing that, because I don’t fly very often, I’m slightly afraid of flying, I get air sick, and I’ll be taking care of the boys, hoping they don’t have to go to the bathroom a million times! (*For moms or experienced travelers, is there anything I should absolutely not forget to bring them?)
So, the next couple days are about shopping, and packing, then it’s off to CA!

I’m glad you’re finally starting to feel better! I once flew from Chicago to Philly with my girls when they were young. I’m happy to say we survived! Of course, at the time Alisha was only 8 or 9 months old and kept trying to grab the shiny Rolex of the business man seated in our row. Oh, and when there was turbulence my other two (4 and 5 at the time) kept shouting, “Woo hooo!” like we were on a roller coaster. See, if nothing else, you will create lasting memories
I’ll be praying that the trip goes smoothly, and your time in CA is amazingly wonderful!

I flew with both our boys once by myself… at the time they were 3 1/2 and 5 months. It was a handful, especially at our layover… My biggest concern was if the 3 1/2 year old had to go to the bathroom on the plane cuz those bathrooms are just tiny and I wouldn’t let him go by himself and I wouldn’t leave our 5 month old… so all 3 of us would have to cram! Thankfully he didn’t have to go on the plane, but our 5 month old did have a *very* dirty diaper, which was changed on my lap with the 3 1/2 year old bouncing all around next to me! But, if that was my most memorable story it obviously wasn’t that bad! They both did good. It was an international flight so we had customs, too, which was great going through with 2 crazy little boys!
I’m sure you’ll do great, and if it does start to get overwhelming at all, just keep in mind it’s for a short time and the end is in sight and you’ll probably never see anyone that’s on the airplane again… but I’m sure you’ll do great! Have a super good time!!!

Annie, hope I get to see you too! And your little ones!
Brody- I can’t wait to see you too!
Lisa- memories… that’s a good way to think about it!
Larissa- keeping in mind that it’s a short time, good idea! I’m so impatient that I feel like it’s going on forever! We just did 2- 4 hour car trips recently that the boys did great on, so I’m hopping it’s the same for the 4 hour plane ride!

So glad we found each other at church on Sunday. I wish I could have gotten a picture of Brody and David together. Man, I just remember them as little boys, like the ones we are now raising ourselves! Time is such a funny thing.
When I walked in the door, I saw Aiden right away and was like, Oh my gosh! That’s Aiden! Been watching your boys grow up on the computer for so long; they are even cuter in person. You guys look great, too.
I hope you are getting to do all of the things you hoped to do while you’re here! God bless.
