mandarins
I have never tasted a more delicious mandarin, than the ones that I grew up on from Newcastle, CA. My sweet Mother in law sends me 3 lbs. of these each year since we’ve moved out here. They are such a wonderful winter treat….
simmering peels
and the peels smell good simmering with cinnamon too…

I’ve never heard of simmering the peels with cinnamon. Do you just put them in water? Is it just to make your house smell nice? Sometimes I like to buy some this time of year. It’s hit or miss getting good ones though. I find Costco has the sweetest ones.
