The Star On The Top of the Tree

The first Christmas Brody and I spent as a married couple we bought this silver plastic star at the Dollar Store, for the top of our Christmas tree. It is still holding up fine, on our 9th Christmas together. Since we’ve had kids, Blue has always been the one who has put the star on top of the tree, but we decided we would start taking turns with that privilege. This year was Aiden’s year….
~Who puts the star (or angel, or whatever) on the top of your tree?

So cute! I usually put our Winnie the Pooh angel on our tree. It’s never been a big deal to the girls, so it’s always been my job. Come to think of it, so is putting up the tree, the lights, and the bead garland…then the kids take over and put on all the ornaments.

We have an angel with wings that move back and forth as our topper. I do all the decorating myself with the exceptions of letting my granddaughter and grandnephew help put the ornaments on the tree.

Those are some CUTE pics! Thanks for sharing
. Well I put up our multi-colored star (it matches our multi colored lights). The boys did the “special” ornaments and were very careful where they placed them as we have an 18 month old neighbor who will LOVE all the sparkly stuff. The other ornaments haven’t made it on the tree yet I guess it will be a work in progress but then again I think less is more. Thanks for askin’.

I think I do. I’m not sure if the older kids decorate the top part of the tree. That’s where I have the ornaments I don’t want to get broken at. Hubby does the hard stuff like carrying the tree upstairs & putting it in the stand.

We take turns. But for some reason I can’t remember whose turn it is this year…things could get ugly….

My Dad.
We decorate the tree while he’s at work, but no-one dares put the star up.
But now I have my own tree, so I do it myself
