- It just hit me that there are only around 2 months left of school. I can’t believe that!
- My two year old is a genuine handful. I’m having flashbacks of his oldest brother being his age, but he’s unique… When he gets into trouble, he smiles his biggest smile, and opens his arm for a hug and kiss… I guess he thinks he can charm his way out of trouble. The picture is of him under my bed, when he’s supposed to be in his bed asleep… I came out of the shower, thinking all the boys were asleep, and heard a ton of thumping in my room, when I looked under the bed this is what I saw…

- We are spending the weekend indoors, mostly. It’s been rainy and wet. Blue has his homework to research, on the “duck billed platypus,” we signed up for T- ball, and Blue has a birthday party to go to.
- Aiden’s thumb got run over by my shopping cart at Target last night. He was laying underneath the cart, riding along, and put his hand down. His thumb is now swollen and he’s using his other hand to eat with. I’m worried that it’s broken. (those rules about kids not riding in carts that way are there for a reason…)
- Again, returning from the library with 6 books on snakes. I wonder if my boys do this to torture me? I literally have nightmares from these books.
- Only two more days until Brody is home for a day and a half!

The shopping cart thing isn’t really your fault. You see, at least one child is required to be injured, sick or both, while either parent is in “single-parent” mode. It’s in the kid manual.
I know this, you see, because as the spouse of a career military man, I’m an expert at single-parenting and the aforementioned manual.

Beth~ you are right! I can’t imagine how long you must’ve been “single parenting,” that was probably a very hard time! I’m feeling worn out thats for sure.
I think Aiden’s thumb is getting better, (I hope) He’s been using his other hand, but when I went to put a little brace on it, he refused, and since then has been saying it’s getting better.

I hope Aiden’s thumb is okay. I just returned from Target myself and I saw this little girl laying on a bag of dog food under the shopping cart. I kept thinking her hair was gonna get caught in the wheel because it was hanging down right over it.
I know will be glad to have Brody home and I know he is looking forward to being home too.

Kirsten,
I am very excited for you to have Brody home in a couple days. I know I am looking forward to Jeff being home myself. 2 weeks is way too long. It’s got to be hard with little ones to not have him there, but it’s gotta be nice to have them to love on and love on you while he is gone:)

That picture is so funny! Glad Brody will be home with you all for a few days. I am counting down the days until school is over!! I am soooo ready for summer. Then again, at this point I’d take spring. It’s snowing here in Chicagoland.
Hang in there, girl!
