*Positive Post Tuesday.

My positive post today is about my friend and neighbor Julie. (I’d have a picture up, but my computer is in the repair shop still)

We’ve lived in the same cul-de-sac for 2 1/2 years now. We were instant friends as we bonded over “Office,” impressions.

She is one of those friends that I can always rely on, and hopefully she feels the same of me. I feel like I can be myself with her, and that I am accepted, and again I hope the feeling is mutual.

Every once in awhile we trade babysitting, which is so wonderful. For one I feel comfortable leaving my kids with someone they know and that I trust, and it saves us money. I also love to spend time with her girls, and do girly things!

Last night Julie watched our boys so we could go to a Christmas party, and my baby instantly reached out for her and started waving “bye” to me. It sounds weird, but that makes me feel good. I’m glad that my kids love to be with her too.

Decorating!

We’ve reserved the afternoon to decorate our Christmas tree and home. I am excited, but I feel behind! We usually do this the day after Thanksgiving, but have had yet to have the time to all be together and decorate.

Every year we hang candy canes on the tree, and each get a new ornament. This year we are each going to paint a wooden ornament.

Our Christams music collection that we’ll listen to for the first time this year is:
*Jars of Clay- Christmas Songs.
* Bebo Norman- Joy.
* City on a Hill- It’s Christmas time.
*Celtic Christmas.
*November Green.
*Charlie Brown Christmas.
*Come Let Us Adore Him.

*Are we very behind and the last to decorate?

Christmas Cleaning.

Somehow the Spring cleaning and Fall cleaning “itch” passes me by each year, and I dive into the cleaning right around this time of year.

In the past week I have removed 18 garbage bags worth of clutter, toys, and clothing of things we haven’t touched or used within the past few years. I’ve donated, sold and thrown away…. and now my motivation is gone too.

I’m tired, I just want to sit, but I’ve got lots to do. Anyone else get the winter cleaning bug?

Tiny Talkin’

~ My three year old has a major sweet tooth, so when our friends brought us angel food cake, he was in heaven.

He said while eating it, “It feels like I’m in a cloud!”

Cooper’s Tree

I had yet to do a special painting for Cooper, so when we moved his bed to this cozy nook, it was the perfect opportunity to paint him a tree. While I tuck him in at night he points up and says “tree…bird….” It makes me happy that he likes his tree.
