Reading…

I am currently reading “The Shack,” given to me as a present. I am almost done with it, and just starting to “get it.” It is written in a very different and creative way, and takes awhile to understand. Once you do though, it’s very good. It’s definitely one of those you could read more than once to understand it better.
Next on my night stand to read is a new Francine Rivers book called “Reedeming Love.” I love how Francine Rivers writes and am so excited to dive into it.
*What are you reading now? Have you read either of these books, what did you think?

I love Redeeming Love!

Redeeming Love is by far the best fiction book EVER written! It was my first experience with Christian fiction, and I read it at least once a year since 2001. It’s also my #1 go-to gift for any of my Christian friends, and it’s gotten the same reaction from everyone I’ve talked to about it…you won’t be able to put it down! I’d love to hear what you think once you’re done with it.

I haven’t read Redeeming Love, but everyone raves about it. I did read a series by Francine Rivers called The Mark of the Lion and it was unbelievably amazing.

I’ve read both, and loved both! I’m a big reader, and am going through withdrawal right now. Silly me didn’t go to the library before I had the stupid surgery. I think tomorrow I’ll feel up to a trip to the library, or even Borders to use the gift card I received. Happy reading!!

redeeming love is the best book! i haven’t read the shack yet, but i want to. redeeming love is a little slow at the beginning, i find a lot of francine rivers books to be, but soooooooo worth it. i have never read a book that so touched me the way this one did.

My wife read “The Shack” and now it’s on my list. Currently, I’m reading C.S. Lewis’ “Surprised by Joy.” Next up is “American Creation” by Joseph Ellis.

I’m not much of a reader, but I bought myself The Shack for Christmas because I’ve heard so many good things about it. Haven’t started it yet, though!

I’ve also read the Francine Rivers “Mark of the Lion” series. I burned through all three of those they were so good! I’ve also read some of her other books, “The Scarlet Thread,” and “the last sin eater,” and “Tamar.” I just love how she writes, I’m excited to start this newest one.

I gave multiple copies of The Shack to friends and even professors at my Christian Liberal Arts college this holiday. If you can get past how the Trinity is portrayed and look at THE RELATIONSHIPS, you will draw even closer to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit yourself. I have several chapters marked to reread. A book I still enjoy. Now reading 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper. Yet another good one! And a true story.

I read “the shack” and thought it was awesome. Currently I am reading Brave New World. Weird and slow but good.

I too am reading the shack. Awesome book. However, people have to realize one thing..it’s a FICTION book…just like THE DAVINCI CODE. I think people get hung up on things when they forget the FICTION part of play in books like these. So far, it’s a great read.

By the way, Happy New Year and God bless!
I am currently joggling Absolute Surrender and Waiting on God by Andrew Murray, Only A Prayer Meeting by C.H. Spurgeon, Pleasing God by Kay Smith, I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris, and One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven by Mark Cahill. I think that’s about it for now…Oh, and yes, I have read Redeeming Love and thought it was well written!
