I do! I used to work at a Hallmark store and we had Christmas ornaments starting to be put up in June for our “Ornament Open House” and they remained up until January… That is Christmas too early! It also feels to be going faster now that we have Bella… she is just growing so fast, you know?

Kristin. The drug store across the street from my office had their Hallmark ornaments set up IN AUGUST.

Yeah, the butter helps keep the turkey really moist. If you want the recipe for the pie, I can e-mail it to you.

Euphrony~ that pie sounds AMAZING!

The sticks of butter is a good tip for inside the turkey. I was going to put onion, garlic, celery, carrots and rosemary in there.

Thanksgiving has gotta be my favorite holiday!! LOVE it! This year up here, though, we got to have it in October! But I’m enjoying all the Thanksgiving stuff my friends are all talking about….
And yes, it does seem to have come ridiculously fast…..

If time seems to be moving faster, it’s just because you’re getting older. I’m just saying . . .

I make a mean turkey. Pretty traditional, and easy. I clean the bird out and put two sticks of butter, a small onion (quartered), and a couple of cloves of garlic in it; then roast till done.

I just pulled my bourbon chocolate pecan pie out of the oven – now I have to wait until tomorrow to eat it .

In case you didn’t notice, I love me some Thanksgiving.

My how time flies when you stay busy. Just want to thank-you for allowing your husband to be gone so much lately. Each concert was as fresh & fun as the last (maybe more). He has a tremendous talent & God has put him in front of the world with peeps from 9 up to 51(me). Cook that turkey with pride & prayer. Blessings to you and your family.

Christmas (well, Advent) purposefully came earlier this year in my house. A couple of months ago, I was under a lot of stress for various reasons. The decorations (no tree, though), helped me feel better.

Re. the turkey … you’ll do just fine.

If I can cook a turkey, ANYONE can! Use the turkey bag…can’t go wrong with that. I cooked mine last night and it came out pretty good. Of course I was only cooking it for my PreK students:) We’ll see how they like it.
