I love going to festivals and fairs and things. I like the tradition of it, and the seasonal aspect of them.
Every year we’ve lived in TN I’ve gone to the Ham Festival in our little town. Just that it’s even called, “The Ham Festival,” makes me laugh. There was one booth that we saw, that had ham. The rest is classic quirky festival events. The country singer, singing about throwing bottles against the wall, the lady in a shower cap trying to get the audience to join her in a “shower cap parade,” the bounce houses, (
which stayed inflated this year) and the “choo-choo” train.
We ate some classic fair food, except for Brody, who was brave in my opinion, for deciding to get a burrito from a mexican truck… at the Ham festival…in TN…
The kids left with a pumpkin each that they “harvested” from some piles of hay, and were happy to have petted some goats, lamas,… and a turtle. Aside from Brody’s stomach ache, and some very thirsty kids, we had a really great time, and start to our fall festivities!
