Kids Make You Smarter

I recently read a post about how having children makes mothers smarter. Nothing much more to the post than that, but I can see how that could be.
Especially after this morning, when my son quizzed me with math questions all the way to school…. before I’d had coffee. (I think his math award has spurred him on to want to do more math- congratulations to him by the way- he doesn’t get that from me) I was glad he couldn’t see my hands, because I was definitely using my fingers to count.

I don’t know how you do it. My husband just came back from spending 2 weeks in the Ukraine on a mission trip and I was a total mess it seems without him. And I only have one 2 year old. I definitely applaud you.

I totally agree. My boy teaches me things everyday. I have learned so much from them and if they do not know something they want to look it up and find out the answer.

You know, I think that’s totally true. I kind of feel like my brain has been exploding ever since I had kids.
I suppose they just make me want to be so much better than I am. I try harder because of them.
Math, though, it’s a lost cause for me.
You’re a great mom, Kristin.
