How Do You Become Like Spiderman?
Africa and Atlanta
Today’s bloggers are
Annie, who is talking about an organization, which I personally love and support. It is an organization that I’ve written about before, and my church in CA is involved in, along with many friends who’ve gone on trips with this organization, it is called HEART, and go read about it!
and also blogging today is
Joel speaking about Church on the streets of Atlanta. Unique and interesting.
Pre School, Home school?
Due to high gas prices, and private pre school prices, we’ve decided not to send our 3 year old to pre school until next year, when he can go to the public school pre school.
So, I got to thinking about the possibility of doing some sort of home school program for him a couple of times a week. I have a few friends who have home schooled their children during that time, and wondering what you all think about that? What works, and what doesn’t? How much “school,” is necessary? How was your experience?
Bridgetown Ministries
Blogging for today is Michael, (my calender is not updated on the side, sorry) and he is talking about a group that is doing work for the homeless in Portland Oregon. It’s a great story.
For Real. Tiny Talk Tuesday.
I was talking to my son and his friend who was spending the night, listening to stories about the friends’ “house brownies,” and “sprites,” “fairies,” etc. (I think they’d recently watched Spiderwick) and my son wanted to chime in with his own story of a “for real.” So he said,
“I know that radio active spiders are real….. I looked them up on the computer, I typed, ‘not lying spiders,’ and it showed a picture of a radio active spider… and they all live together….- for real, it did.”

Happy Birthday
Today is my “mother in love’s” (as we call it) birthday. I choose the picture of her with all the grandkids, because she is who she is with her family and friends around her. She’s a lady with a big heart, and she loves big too. It’s evident in her blog, and in the way she lives her life.
I hope that she has a happy birthday, and I’m sure she wishes we were there, (not to be conceited) but because she’s happiest when the family is complete around her, and we wish we could be there to celebrate with her too.
Have a happy day, we’ll see you soon!
Random thoughts..
I figured I could do some random points, and be a apart of Stats suck sunday with Brody.
~There’s nothing much better then sitting out side blowing bubbles for my kids and having them laugh and jump and think it’s the best thing in the world.
~I said “puddin” tonight, without the “g” at the end. It think the southern accent is finding it’s way into my brain. Literally, I said, “do you want some puddin’?” My son, corrected me, by over pronouncing it with a “pu-tting.”
~Why do Winnie the Pooh books like to call him Pooh instead of Winnie the Pooh? For instance, the title of the book, “Cooking with Pooh,” doesn’t sound right, does it?
~Did you know that a plastic container can cut you like a paper cut? Well, it can, and it hurts.
~I’m going to be changing teaching jobs at church from teaching the 2 year olds, to being the craft station lady… halleluja.
Have a happy Sunday night.
