I didn’t get struck, and sick boys.
The other day we had a huge thunderstorm, which struck my dad’s neighbors tree. They lost their alarm system, and had all kinds of electrical issues afterward. He called me to let me know to be super careful out here in TN, when it’s thundering and lighting, because it’s serious.
So what do I do, the next day it’s storming?
I go shopping and buy a curtain rod. Then I run to my car in the middle of a down pour, while the thunder is pounding the lightning is flashing… holding a metal curtain rod to the sky. Smart girl, heeding her fathers’ wisdom, aren’t I? I don’t know what is wrong with me, but I do know that I must be lucky.
In other News around here… Boys are all sick with the stomach bug I had last weekend, and this is my last week of work. Pray for them, and for Brody for cleaning up more puke than he probably ever has.

Kristin – I’m prayin’ for your sweet boys to feel all better soon and for Brody on puke duty, too. Also, I noticed that you said it is your last week of work. I don’t know all the ins and outs of it, but I wanted you to know that I’m keeping you in my prayers as you guys transition with that. Having (multiple) small kiddos, along with all the other physical, spiritual, and financial issues in our lives can be pretty intense and I just wanted you and Brody to know that I think of your family often (especially in regards to those things) and I do pray for you regularly. I don’t pretend to have a clue about what the Lord is up to as far as details go, but I know He has laid His hands on you all and He’s busy workin’ His plan. Thanks for being faithful along the journey and for so openly sharing it with us. You are an encouragement to me. I really admire your willingness to keep an open heart and a Godly perspective. Have a blessed week.

thank you… the boys are getting better, but still not eating much, and Brody’s not feeling super right now. So we are laying low.
