Some friends of mine have a little country house in the South of France. It sits in the middle of lavender fields. The smell is amazing. We went out to a field and gleaned the lavender left after they harvested. That is when we discovered that my middle daughter is allergic to it.

I would LOVE to visit a lavender farm. All I have at home are two potted lavender plants (if that's what they're called). I don't use them for cooking, or anything. I just like smelling them.
