Tiny Talk Tuesday

May 6, 2008 - 7:39 am 12 Comments

My 3 year old son miss- pronounces things these days, and it’s so cute and funny, that I really don’t like to correct it!

~He calls our friend Sue: “Soup”

~Instead of saying, Polly want a cracker? He says, “Robby want a cracker?”

~To him things are an “ask-i-dent”

~ A hump back whale is a “honk back whale”

~and he has to kick the foot ball, because it’s called a “foot ball, not a hand ball”

Running a relay race

~Lately I feel like I am running a relay race. Except instead of passing a baton to my husband, we pass each other the keys, and exchange child watching, responsibility.

Ever feel like this?

Update on the ugly cake…

Just thought I’d let you all know, in case you decided to make the cake I talked about previously…

I didn’t think about the fact that the cake had pudding in it, and it’s been sitting on the counter over the past few days, I went to take a bite, and it had definitely soured… so gross.

***So if you make it… save the leftovers in the fridge!

We went to see them play last night, and it was awesome. They both have beautiful voices, and when combined it sounded amazing. We bought their EP for only $5~ which In think you should too, and if you have the chance to see them live, it is worth your time.

The ugly, but yummy, for no reason- cake.

~My friend was telling me about a “Boston cream pie, cake” that she’d made recently, and I decided I had to try that. It’s made from two yellow rounds, both cut in half, and spread with vanilla pudding, and chocolate pudding between the layers. Then frosted with chocolate frosting.

My son asked why I was making a cake, if it was no one’s birthday, or we weren’t celebrating anything? I just replied, for no reason, it’s the “for no reason cake.” It was good.
