My e mail voice mail

I’ve realized recently that the best way to get in touch with me is through e mail. I treat it like a voice mail, or something that I check regularly, better than I do my phone.

The ringer on my phone is usually not on, and I forget to check it for messages, and usually forget it in my purse.

Harder than that is finding a quiet un-interrupted space of time that I can actually call someone and have a conversation.

So, I think most of my friends and family have learned to either call my husband, or to e mail me, to get in touch with me.

Am I the only one who is like this?

I am EXACTLY like that. I think mainly because I have about a 1 hour window per day when I could possibly have a phone conversation.

I read about this site awhile back that converts your voicemail to email…I’m not quite there yet, but I’ve got it bookmarked…

Honey..You taught me that a long time ago. I can hear you say the words in your emails. But sometimes, I just crave hearing your voice. Then somehow, I get to talk to you. the Lord knows when I’ve gone as long as I can not hearing your real voice.

I thought you were just avoiding me.

Here’s what my husband recorded on my cellphone voice message box, “You have reached the personal phone secretary of True Vyne. She never ever answers messages left here on her cell phone. If you really need something, call me at ________ and I’ll make sure True gets your message.”

You should hear the messages people leave on it, “On the remote chance that you listen to this message, True…”

I became incredibly overwhelmed with a home answering machine (ditched it), cell phone for both my husband and I, home phone, and email.

I also love the slow pace which email sets. My time and place to answer…not the tyranny of the immediate.
