~Some of our friends are going through some very difficult, and trying times right now. Bad things seem to be happening from every angle for them, and it’s not letting up. I don’t know what to say to comfort them, I don’t know how to help. They shouldn’t have to be dealing with and facing the things that they are having to face.
What do you do during seasons of life where you feel done, and don’t know when or trust that things will get better?

I just went through a difficult time. All I could do was pray — a lot. It helped.

I agree. We are in the midst of it right now, for the last while. All there is to do is pray and trust that God has a plan, for everything.
All the cliches make nothing easier, but it is true that He is always with us and keeping us close to Him, especially in hard times.

Yes, it does suck to hear “trust God” when your entire life seems to be falling apart. But God is the only “rock” that we have in this world.
Through my hardest times I find that reading (the bible) to be the best thing. In places you can find comfort and at times there are stories that you can escape into, even if for just a moment.
Also being completely honest in your prayer. If you are confused, scared, angry…let God know. Being with honest with other people is so refreshing for your soul, why should be any different with God?
