Another music blog.
Connersvine has a blog! One of the musicians is a professional football player also, so there should be some interesting content. Check them out, and their music. The blog is really cool looking also.
Strep is in the house…and random things.
My 2 year old has been diagnosed with strep this evening. Just days away from his birthday. Poor guy has had a fever all day long, and yesterday. (bad parenting, for him to be out in the snow last night hugh? It was only a few minutes, but I still feel pretty bad.)
*Randomness: according to him Elmo is a red bear and yoda is a green cat. (I love that)
~Update on the Narnia series reading. It’s going well, my kids wanted me to read two chapters tonight. My oldest has been drawing along, and I love seeing what he draws, and am amazed at how well he’s interpreting the story.
A new blog!
My mother in law started a blog, and it is so good! You will love reading what she has to say, and she’s very inspiring, and encouraging person! Go stop by and leave a comment to welcome her to the world of blogging!
Yep, Snow!

I love snow! It makes winter time worth it to me! It makes me so happy to see snow falling, and it seems to make everything peace full. As a kid, I would spend hours out in the snow, building snow people, digging tunnels, sledding with friends, and just walking through it. My brother would make snow cones with kool aide, and he taught me to play poker when we’d get to stay home from school. I have great memories of snow, and I was so happy to look out my window tonight and see it start falling, and more importantly, sticking!
My boys had a great time out in it. I let my oldest stay out the longest, and he gathered cups of snow to save in the freezer. This whole weekend is forecasted possible snow, so this should be fun!

2 AM walks
My friend and neighbor called us last night around 2 am. Her daughter had woken up crying holding her side, and she needed to take her to the emergency room. I grabbed a pillow and blanket and walked through our quiet street to her house to sleep on the couch for awhile.
While I was there I had a dream that someone had snuck into my house and stolen the toilet, but it turned out they’d just wanted to replace it for us. Definitely weird and random…
My friend returned home with her daughter, it had been an infection not appendicitis, and I walked back home through our quiet street. I realized I liked taking walks in the middle of the night, I liked helping out a friend who has helped me out in so many ways, and I was glad that her daughter was going to be okay.
Suggestions please!
Truevyne has family reading time with her kids, where she reads a book aloud and gives her children a cookie sheet with their choice of playdough or legos, paper and pens, etc. to play with while she reads. This is something I definitely want to start with my kids. I do read to them, but I’d like to read from a chapter book.
As a kid, I loved “Little house on the prarie,” and “Nancy Drew” series.
~What are some that you suggest?
