He did it!

~ He finished his first year of pre school! He learned the alphabet, and how to write his name. He made friends with all the kids in his class, and won the heart of his teacher. I am so proud of him, but so sad that it’s over so fast. We’re on to a summer of drum lessons, swimming lessons, and lots and lots of playing in the sprinkler!

Man they grow up so fast! My “baby” is almost 8 and very ready for 2nd grade. I keep trying to convince her to go back to Kindergarten, but she’s not buying it! It sounds like it will by noisy and wet around your house this summer. LOTS of FUN!

Congratulations!
My 4 year old just finished pre-k too. In fact, we just had her end of the year party today.
It’s fun to relive my childhood over the summer with my kids. I love the smell of OFF, sunblock, brand new plastic swimming pools and water from the garden hose.

Awesome.
I watched my youngest graduate Kindergarten last week and it occurred to me how fast time flies.
Now I get to spend the summer watching them swim in the pool and chase each other around the house for the next few months.
Thank goodness for pictures. At least we are able to freeze a few moments in time so we can look back on them.

Beth~ I am sure it’s hard to convince children to stay young! I always wanted to be older too.
Kat~ you like the smell of OFF? That’s good I guess… maybe it’ll guard you against those scorpions you’ve got running around..
Lariss~ I know, a lot bigger since the last you saw him!
Mammo~ yes he knows how much you love him, “bigger than the world!”
Steven~ wow, your baby is done with kindergarten. I think thats going to be harder, watching my youngest grow up quickly, and moving on. There’s a permanence I am not comfortable with…

I think those drum lessons are also going to be a test of love.

ha ha ha…. yes, currently they are in the garage, and I think they are a test of love for our neighbors right now. It’s funny, they keep asking me if I need help moving them inside….

Congrats!
How are you feeling about him starting kindergarten? My son will start in August… it’s bittersweet for me. I’m going to miss him so much!
Sounds like a FUN summer!

Grace… He’s got another year of pre school, his birthday is a little late for him to start kindergarten this fall! I know it’s going to be hard for me though next year!

Kristin,
You’d better move the drums to the bonus room before they begin “mysteriously” disappearing from the garage.
