Happy Birthday dad

I called my dad today to wish him a happy birthday, we sang, and then asked him what he was going to do. He said, “paper work.” Ok….
“why not do something fun?” I asked,
“well I have to do it.” he said.
“Can’t it wait until tomorrow?” I asked.
“Well, I don’t want to do it tomorrow, because tomorrow is my birthday.” he laughed.

That’s so funny, Kristin. It sounds like you dad has a good sense of humor. He waited until after you sang to tell you your had the wrong day…
I imagine it’s better to call a day early than a day late, though.

Just tell him that was the practice session and you can do it again tomorrow!

I told him the truth, I couldn’t remember what day his actual birthday was on, so I went with the earliest! I told him it was like insurance, so now if I forget to call him tomorrow, technically I have already sang to him!
